Garfinkle will be in St. Louis and Kansas City, respectively, keynoting the Missouri State Bar Association’s annual conference for new lawyers, “Stepping Up and Stepping Out.” Conference materials include a special Missouri Bar Association edition of Garfinkle’s popular book, “$olo Contendere: How to Go Directly from Law
School into the Practice of Law without Getting a Job.” The Ohio State Bar also prints a version of the book.

In addition to Solo Contendere, Garfinkle also publishes a series of “Hip-Pocket Guides” to various courtroom skills,
and he pens a regular column “Mentor Mindfulness” in the New Esquire section the California Bar Association’s
magazine “Big News for Small Firms.”
